Cookie Policy
This page explains which cookies this site uses, why, and how you control them. We treat the privacy of readers as a matter of principle: no analytics or measurement cookie is set unless you give your consent.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Some cookies are necessary for the site to function; others help us understand how it is used. We keep their use to a minimum.
The cookies we use
Necessary — a language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) remembers your chosen language so you are not returned to the default on every visit, and a consent cookie (vop_consent) remembers your choice about analytics. These are required for the site to behave as you expect and are always active.
Analytics (optional) — when you consent, we load Google Tag Manager, which may set Google Analytics cookies that give us anonymous, aggregate statistics about how pages are read. They are never loaded before you accept and are not used to identify you personally.
Your choice and consent
On your first visit, analytics are switched off by default through Google Consent Mode. Nothing analytical loads until you choose “Accept”. You can change your mind at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer, or by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser.
How long cookies last
The language and consent cookies are kept for up to one year so your preferences persist between visits. Analytics cookies, when enabled, follow Google’s own retention periods. You can delete all of them at any time through your browser settings.
