Vision of the Movement

The Zionist vision has been completed. The seventh of October, together with the forceful conduct of the State of Israel thereafter, has clearly marked the end of Zionism as we knew it. The people of Israel dwell in their land, build it, conquer it with roads, railways, and concrete. But is this all we were destined for? Is our entire purpose only to sit in a breezy land, to build and be built there?

And did the people of Israel not contribute sufficiently to the entire world throughout the years of exile in the fields of wisdom, science, technology, and spirit? Was the hidden wisdom embedded in this people meant to be revealed only in machines, computers, and buildings?

The answer to this is—no!

The secrets of the people of Israel to the world and its inhabitants are not only in the fields of technology but also in the fields of society, law, state, and spirit. And there is no reality like our life in the land to realize these hidden capabilities—if only we will.

In the revelation of God to Abraham, God of Israel was asked whether He would conceal from Abraham what He was doing to Sodom; but in that same holy scripture, the divine vision for the people of Israel was also written:

"And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? And Abraham shall become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him. For I have known him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which He hath spoken of him."

From here we come with clear recognition: the great purpose of the people of Israel dwelling in their land is to do Righteousness and Justice in the land.

The people of Israel returned from the long sufferings of exile not only to establish their home in the land but to raise on high, for all peoples and nations, the way of Righteousness and Justice. Not in vain do we repeatedly experience terror, captivity, distress, sorrow, and bereavement; again and again we are called to confront the purpose for which we were destined.

The prophets repeatedly returned to this purpose and even expanded the national mission to an international mission, as the prophet said:

"And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore."

With this knowledge, we must remove from ourselves the obstacles that prevent us from fulfilling the great promise and the divine mission for the people of Israel. These are the obstacles of exile that have pursued us until now: fear, lack of faith, memory of the Holocaust and destruction, the sense of existential threat, victimhood, and nationalism.

It is our commandment to transform all these into love, hope, and faith; into vision, into the revival of the people of the Book in the Land of the Deer, and to be a light unto the nations.

This vision demands, first and foremost, an ideological foundation capable of uniting all inhabitants of the land under One Law and one political framework, which will regulate the complex relations between the different communities, tribes, and peoples dwelling in the land.

Therefore, we act with a calm spirit to lead a new way in the land—for the people of Israel and for the vision of its prophets.

The movement will do all it can to find the broadest common denominator among all the communities of the whole Land of Israel, and will strive to lead the new political government that will arise from a clear and solid vision: One Law, One Land, and One God for all inhabitants of the land.

Emphasizing what is common among all the tribes of Israel and the surrounding peoples, we will work to create the broadest connections in order to establish a functioning, worthy, and responsible government. We will work to restore security through political and wise means, understanding that forcefulness has no place in the new world.

Our goal is to unite the ranks of the people and its parties, and to lead a new spirit in the Land of Israel.

We believe that to advance the vision, a new authority must be established, which will be a home for all communities in the land, and will encourage all citizens of Israel to be part of a living and active community. Thus, the government will work closely with the communities in the land to find solutions to their problems and to provide relief and assistance to every seeker.

At the same time, the central federal government, which will stand above all communities, will eliminate the plague of bureaucracy and narrow interests, and will distribute equally and fairly to all communities in the land what is due to them—regardless of election results and without political bargaining.

Thus, while the central government will care for individual freedom, justice, the economy, and security, the new authority headed by the President of the State will be a fertile ground for unprecedented civic and communal flourishing and prosperity.
