No Peace for the Wicked

There is nothing more blatant, more despicable, more alien to the essence of our lives than speaking now about "Peace," not because it is not our desire, not because it is not the aspiration—after all, the name of the movement openly states Voice of Truth and Peace. But for there to be peace, Truth must come to light and Justice must be decisive.

Peace is one of the names of the Creator, and He alone can bring peace, for His presence is what grants security, love, and awe; His presence is peace itself. Yet God cannot tolerate injustice, the blood that fills the land, wickedness and cynicism (if you will, even today’s Zionism) that mock the word "Justice." So, to speak of peace?

There is no shortage of peace activists in Israel, entire parties inscribe on their banners the pursuit of peace and promote "love" and "tolerance," but these are empty words without real reference to the actual harm to the helpless, without addressing the many war crimes that Israel, unfortunately, commits out of ignorance and blindly following a criminal leadership.

The word peace cannot be uttered before speaking of punishment, before holding accountable the catalysts of evil and the people who take whole lives of innocent blood— in Judea and Samaria, in Gaza, and now also in Lebanon.

Ma’oz Yinon and Abu Sarh

Peace activists, among them Ma’oz Yinon and his partner Aziz Abu Sarh, as much as their words sound good, traveling in Europe showing partnership and brotherhood between them and how they transform their grief into love and peace—unfortunately, all these are empty words without true and painful reference to the gross injustice happening in the land, to the many bloods and crimes committed before the eyes of the entire world.

I do not belittle the pain of Ma’oz Yinon and Aziz Abu Sarh. On the contrary—their pain is real, heavy, and perhaps precisely because of that it touches many hearts. But the question is not whether a bereaved person is entitled to choose love. Certainly, he is entitled. The question is whether grief can be turned into a general language of peace without touching the root of the injustice, without calling for justice, without demanding responsibility from the systems that cause the bloodshed.

When grief becomes a bridge without justice, it may unintentionally become a screen. And when private pain is presented as a substitute for public accountability, the truth is again pushed to the margins.

Similarly, the "Democrats" party in Israel is launching massive PR on the subject of "Peace" and stirring this discourse among the youth in Israel, but while they talk about peace, they do not mention, not even for a moment, the failures and crimes of their sons, the pilots, senior officers, and the leadership echelon of the State of Israel who carry out daily bloodbaths with their own hands and silently allow what happens in the land. Thus, the left in Israel speaks falsehoods and the right is the right of lies, as the Psalmist wrote:

"Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they have practiced deceit; the poison of vipers is under their lips."

This is the root of the lie of the Zionist left in Israel: it seeks peace without relinquishing ownership. It seeks equality without relinquishing the supreme definition of a Zionist state for Jews only. It seeks democracy, but only as long as the demos—the political people—remains limited, filtered, and subjugated to the Zionist national idea.

Therefore, even when the left speaks of peace, it does not yet speak truth. It does not say: One Land. One Law. One Human before the Law. One God above all nations. It does not dare to say that the problem is not only Netanyahu, Ben Gvir, or Smotrich; the problem is the entire structure, the entire language, the internal license given over generations to rule over another person in the name of fear, memory, security, and nationality.

And more on the matter of peace...

We must say things honestly: we are not against peace. God forbid. We are against the falsification of peace. Against peace that has become a PR product, against peace spoken with a mouth full of blood, against peace that does not demand justice from the criminals but asks the victims to calm down, moderate themselves, "see the bigger picture," and be silent.

This is not peace. This is polite denial. This is violence in polite language.

True peace does not begin with an embrace. It begins with the cessation of lies. It begins when a person, a community, an army, a government, and a people can stand before their deeds and say:

We have sinned! We have distorted! We have transgressed!

Not everything done in our name was defense. Not all spilled blood was necessary. Not every order was moral. Not every silence was innocence. Not every loyalty to the state was loyalty to God.

For there is no peace without Truth. No reconciliation without Justice. No love without Righteousness and Justice.

The prophets did not dream of soft, sentimental, cosmetic peace. They did not speak of ceremonies, delegations, conferences, joint photos, and emotional words in English before a bored European audience. They spoke of justice. Of righteousness. Of breaking oppression. Of removing wickedness. Of the orphan and the widow. Of the stranger. Of innocent blood. Of a government that lost the fear of Heaven and made its power its god.

"And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever."

Righteousness precedes peace and not the other way around. It is not the work of peace that brings righteousness, but the work of righteousness that brings peace.

Peace is not a beginning; it is a fruit.

It is not an evasion of justice;

It is the birth of justice when it is truly done.

Therefore, when today we hear politicians, leftists, peace activists, media figures, retired officers, and members of the Israeli elite speak about "Peace," we must first ask them:

Where is your Truth? Where is your Justice?

Where are the names of the dead? Where are the children?

Where is the confession? Where is the reckoning?

Where is the personal responsibility of the pilot, the officer, the minister, the legal advisor, the journalist, the academic, everyone who knew, was silent, justified, whitewashed, or lulled the public conscience?

Because peace without justice is the peace of the powerful. Peace without confession is the continuation of crime by soft means. Peace without justice is nothing but a plea for forgiveness in the name of the murdered, from those who did not pay the price.

The Committee for Peace and Reconciliation

Therefore, Voice of Truth and Peace does not call for hollow peace.

But for a new order: first Truth. Then Justice. Then Confession. Then Forgiveness. And only then Peace.

For this purpose, a Committee for Peace and Reconciliation is required, not a committee for whitewashing, not a committee for mass forgiveness, not a committee that will cleanse the system in the name of a "shared future," but a committee that will present to the public the full truth: who gave orders, who executed, who concealed, who lied, who profited, who was silent, and who sought to stop and was not heard.

Whoever truly confesses will stand before the people and ask for correction—the gate of repentance will be opened for him. Whoever insists on lying, whitewashing, justifying innocent blood, or continuing to hide behind ranks, uniforms, titles, and positions—will stand trial. Not out of revenge. Out of awe. Out of understanding that no society seeking righteousness and justice is built on blood and covered graves. (Not without reason do Orthodox Jews oppose building over graves, as it covers the truth, like what is happening now in Gaza and the building plans covering the bloodbath there).

So do not speak to us now about peace as if peace is a sedative.

Do not bring us peace that asks the murdered to be silent and the living to forget.

Bring Truth.
Bring Justice.
Bring Names.
Bring Responsibility.
Bring Trial.

And then! And only then! It will be possible to begin speaking about Peace.

For Peace is the name of the Creator, and His name is not mentioned in vain.
